Project Description:

Groundcheck was appointed by PT OC Enviro to performed geotechnical investigation support for PT PP on its Coal Power Plant project, Timor 1, located in Panaf, Lifuleo village, Kupang, North Nusa Tenggara. The proposed of the soil investigation is collect the geotechnical data for detial engineering design for the proposed Power Plant Development.  

In order to complete the work, 2 drilling rigs and drilling team (YBM YSO 01) were mobilized. In addition a platform assemble team were also mobilized for the work. The soil investigation scope in this are consist of drilling geotechnical drilling for 34 boreholes in which 6 of these boreholes were located in nearshore area. The platform for drilling these boreholes were constructed by Groundcheck platform team.

The main challenges for this works are the soil investigation was starting just prior the COVID 19 hits which change the time schedule and safety protocol for the work. A mayor delay resulted on due to this pandemic, however, as the COVID safety protocol has been established, Groundcheck team was able quickly adapted the protocol suggested by client and efficiency performed the required soil investigation work at the new proposed timeline.
