Project Description:

Groundcheck was appointed by Golder Assoicates as a geotechnical drilling and instrumentation installation service provider for Freeport Smelter in Gresik, East Jawa. Our field work was on going from very early stage of the development, which start from 2016 to 2022.

We have been drilled more than 200 boreholes combine borehole through several occasions through the period. In one of those occasion, Groundcheck mobilized 14 drilling rigs (YBM YSO and Koken OP 1 ) for the work. The field in this area has been generally on track with the time schedule and budget for the work. In situ testing such as SPT (Standard Penetration Test), UDS sampling and Piston sampling were also performed. Beside geotechnical drilling, we also support Golder Associates with 10 tonne CPT (Cone Penetration Test) pushed for CPTu testing. In term of instrumentation, our team assisting in drilling and installing Piezometer, Inclinometer and Extensometer .
